Job summary

Netcompany Group A/S is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to drive migration from relational databases to cloud platforms. You will design data models, develop ETL/ELT pipelines, and optimize SQL for accurate data transfer in a hybrid setup across Europe.

The role requires 5–10 years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, and hands‑on cloud experience with Azure, AWS or Databricks, including data lake design. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• 5-10 years of solid data engineering experience.
• Good SQL and Python, with experience in ELT/ETL, data modelling, Spark and workflow orchestration.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud data platform — Azure, AWS or Databricks — including data lake / lakehouse design.
• Git and basic CI/CD knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills, adaptive and team player
• Fluency in the English language
• Ability to travel within Europe,once every 2 months for approximately 2-3 days at a time.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the migration of data from relational databases to a cloud-based database/data platform. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience withrelational databases, together with experience in cloud and distributed data technologies.

As a Senior Data Engineer you will:
