Position Summary :

Sr. Data Engineer, Precision eControl, LLC, Cincinnati, OH. Responsible for day-to-day operations of large data warehouse with Azure infrastructure. Work closely with business, product team & tech staff to ensure alignment to goals & objectives. Drive consensus on designs of stable, reliable & effective dynamic ETL pipelines leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines while utilizing Big Data experience. Employee may work from any location in the U.S. subject to company remote work policy.

Essential Functions :

• Design, develop & maintain data pipelines through use of metadata driven pipelines using Microsoft Azure Synapse & Azure SQL.
• Implement data cleansing & data enrichment processes to ensure high-quality data for analytics & reporting.
• Continuously optimize environment for performance, scalability & cost-efficiency.
• Work with Continuous Integration / Delivery using Azure DevOps & Github.
• Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data flows & best practices.
• Implement DataOps practices, including data monitoring & alerting to ensure data quality & pipeline reliability

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :

• 6 years of experience with data modeling (star schema)
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Data technologies, including Azure Synapse Analytics
• 4 years of experience in Python and big data engineering technologies such as Spark
• 3 years of experience with Azure SQL
• 3 years experience with Data Lakehouse / Medallion architecture

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or closely related field
• 6 years relevant professional experience required
