Position Summary:

Senior Data Engineer at Precision eControl, LLC, Cincinnati, OH. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a large data warehouse with Azure infrastructure. Collaborate closely with the business, product team, and technical staff to ensure alignment with goals and objectives. Drive consensus on the design of stable, reliable, and effective dynamic ETL pipelines leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines and Big Data experience. Employees may work from any location in the U.S. in accordance with the company’s remote work policy.

Essential Functions:

1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using metadata-driven pipelines with Microsoft Azure Synapse and Azure SQL.
2. Implement data cleansing and enrichment processes to ensure high-quality data for analytics and reporting.
3. Continuously optimize environment performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
4. Work with Continuous Integration/Delivery using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
5. Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data flows, and best practices.
6. Implement DataOps practices, including data monitoring and alerting, to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• 6 years of experience with data modeling (star schema).
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Data technologies, including Azure Synapse Analytics.
• 4 years of experience in Python and big data engineering technologies such as Spark.
• 3 years of experience with Azure SQL.
• 3 years of experience with Data Lakehouse/Medallion architecture.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 6 years of relevant professional experience required.
