Job summary

Harnham in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build and evolve its modern enterprise data platform. This highly visible, hands-on role carries broad ownership across ingestion, modeling, transformation, quality, and platform development.

You’ll work across the full data lifecycle to design scalable pipelines and data products that support analytics, reporting, and critical business operations, delivering high-quality solutions and influencing data strategy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Strong experience with dbt and modern data transformation practices.
• Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines and ingestion processes.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT architecture.
• Experience with data quality, monitoring, and production data operations.
• Ability to independently own projects from design through implementation.
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Develop and optimize data models supporting analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.
• Build and enhance an enterprise data platform with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop robust data solutions using Python, SQL, and dbt.
• Own engineering projects from requirements and technical design through deployment and ongoing operation.
• Implement processes around data quality, monitoring, reconciliation, lineage, and reliability.
• Partner with Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, and business teams to deliver high-quality data products.
• Troubleshoot complex data and pipeline issues and identify opportunities to improve existing systems.
• Contribute to data architecture, engineering standards, and the longer-term technical roadmap.
