You will focus on platform engineering and data infrastructure, not traditional BI development, building reliable ingestion and transformation frameworks across teams.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to help build and scale a modern data platform that will serve as the foundation for multiple applications and analytics capabilities. This role is focused on platform engineering and data infrastructure, not traditional BI development.

The ideal candidate has deep experience designing and building scalable data pipelines, implementing modern data architecture patterns, and developing reliable ingestion and transformation frameworks. This role will work closely with engineering teams to establish the core data platform that other systems and products will depend on.

This position requires engineers who think platform-first and are comfortable building the underlying systems that power data products.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build scalable data pipelines that support a modern data platform
• Develop transformation workflows using dbt and Python
• Build and maintain orchestration pipelines using Apache Airflow
• Implement and support medallion architecture data layers (bronze, silver, gold)
• Develop reliable CDC ingestion pipelines for structured and semi-structured data
• Build reusable data platform components that enable downstream application development
• Work with engineering teams to integrate data platform capabilities into product workflows
• Ensure data reliability, performance, and observability across pipelines
• Help define best practices for data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and platform scalability
• Contribute to a modern engineering culture focused on automation, reliability, and platform ownership

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands‑on experience as a Data Engineer building production data pipelines
• Expertise with dbt for transformation and data modeling
• Deep experience with Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration
• Experience implementing medallion architecture or similar layered data platform patterns
• Experience working with modern data platform ecosystems and cloud environments
• Strong understanding of scalable data platform design and pipeline reliability
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving engineering environment with a platform‑first mindset

This role is focused on data platform engineering, not traditional BI development. Candidates with primarily Microsoft BI, reporting, or visualization‑focused backgrounds are unlikely to be a fit.
