Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) seeks a Technical Program Manager – Data Destruction to drive strategic initiatives within the Data Protection team, enforcing data retention and destruction policies and standards across the firm.

You will lead a business analytics team, define KPIs, coordinate with stakeholders, manage complex projects from requirements to delivery, and report status to senior leadership while upholding BBH's commitment to privacy, security, and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 7-12+ years of experience in data protection, governance and risk management.
• Technical experience in database design and systemic data destruction principles and tools.
• Demonstrated understanding of project management principles, tools and techniques.
• Experience with MS Office applications including: Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience managing individuals and teams.
• Experience in change management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning and Program Management: Understand program goals and work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve data retention and destruction practices; Identify and implement technical solutions to improve execution and tracking of data destruction activities; Define KPIs and KRIs; provide program status reporting to senior leadership; Ensure stakeholders understand objectives.
• Program/Project Execution & Delivery: Drive execution of large, complex projects from requirements to production; Identify and manage risks and dependencies; Adhere to project management standards; Manage operational tasks including enforcement of data destruction controls and firm-wide user support and reporting.
• Leadership & People Management: Manage a team of business analysts; Set project priorities and coordinate schedules; Communicate with stakeholders and prepare executive updates.
