Job summary

The Huntington National Bank is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Protection to lead enterprise data protection strategy, governance, and privacy incident response across on-premise, cloud, and SaaS environments. This role will partner with Legal, Privacy, Risk, HR, and Cybersecurity to mature capabilities and drive risk reduction through analytics, automation, and AI.

The incumbent will report to the Director of Insider Risk and Data Protection and lead programs covering data lifecycle protection,

Qualifications

• Deep experience implementing and managing enterprise Data Protection solutions and controls.
• Experience with: DLP platforms.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Data Protection strategy, roadmap, and governance model.
• Protect sensitive information across the full data lifecycle (collection, storage, processing, transmission, sharing, retention, disposal).
• Establish policies, standards, and procedures for secure data handling and regulatory compliance.
• Drive adoption of data protection technologies, controls, and best practices.
• Provide strategic direction for Data Protection, Privacy Operations.
• Develop monitoring, data classification & labeling, data discovery, DLP, encryption, and access controls across endpoints, cloud, SaaS, and email.
• Develop risk-based data protection controls to prevent unauthorized access or exfiltration.
• Define enterprise data protection metrics, reporting, and governance processes.
• Lead operational privacy incident response and align with Legal/Compliance/Privacy teams (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Provide SME on PII, data minimization, and data sharing.
