Job summary

Oradeo Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major Data Centre construction project in Groningen, the Netherlands. The successful candidate will act as the senior engineering representative on site, providing engineering leadership and coordinating the engineering function in collaboration with the project team.

Responsibilities include setting out, survey control, quality procedures, ITPs, temporary works coordination and ensuring activities meet project specifications

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil Engineering required.
• Extensive site engineering delivery on major construction projects.
• Advanced setting out and dimensional control expertise.
• Experience with ITPs, method statements and risk assessments.
• Strong quality control procedures and non-conformance management knowledge.
• Experience with concrete, drainage, steelwork and brickwork.
• Familiarity with RFI processes and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership on site as senior representative on the project.
• Coordinate engineering activities with managers, site engineers, assistant engineers and subcontractors.
• Establish and manage setting out and on-site engineering control strategy.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of dimensional control and grid rotation.
• Ensure survey equipment is managed by site/graduate engineers.
• Oversee as-built surveys for key project elements.
• Understand construction tolerances and interfaces to identify issues.
• Maintain an on-site engineering diary and manage NCRs.
• Prepare and review ITPs, method statements and risk assessments.
• Review project specifications and RCC/RFI processes.
