Job summary

Serverfarm is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Houston data center. You will operate and maintain electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 100% uptime, monitor critical spaces, and execute planned and corrective maintenance with our CMMS.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in data centers, and the ability to read one-line diagrams and OEM documentation. Strong communication and self-management are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and OEM documentation
• Experience in a Data Center with proven success in delivering customer requirements in a critical technology environment
• Evidence of self-management and alignment with changing priorities
• Good written and oral communication skills, tenacity, and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
• Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility.
• Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
• Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities.
• Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes.
• Respond to site incidents, execute MOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event.
• Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
• Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.
• Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
• Adhere to all local, state and federal safety laws and requirements
• Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
• Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
• Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards
• Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure
