Job summary

Serverfarm is seeking a dedicated Data Center Technician to help maintain and monitor critical infrastructure across our facilities. The role focuses on safe operation, rapid issue resolution, and collaboration with contractors to ensure 100% uptime.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, document incidents, and support site safety programs while adapting to evolving priorities in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of data center experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure MEP plant and distribution infrastructure are operated and maintained safely per industry best practices and manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor power and environmental conditions in critical spaces within the facility.
• Perform maintenance tasks using the internal CMMS and SF procedures.
• Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities.
• Escort and supervise outside contractors, ensuring compliance with SF rules and processes.
• Respond to site incidents and execute MOP/EOP documentation to mitigate issues.
• Support Change Control policies and procedures.
• Conduct site rounds and report issues to management.
• Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed.
• Follow local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Contribute to documentation efforts for MOP/SOP/EOP and site policies.
