Job summary

Trace3 is seeking a Senior Data Center Technician for 100% onsite work in Irvine, CA. You will support data center infrastructure, cabling, compute/network/storage tasks, and asset management while mentoring peers and ensuring quality service.

Qualifications include 6+ years in tech data center roles, SNMP/TCP/IP, Windows/Linux familiarity, and certifications (CompTIA A+, BICSI, Cisco). Occasional travel and strong documentation are expected.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in a technical or data center support role.
• Experience with networking hardware such as multiplexers, routers, and switches.
• Experience creating SOPs, templates, and trainings.
• Ability to manage objectives and metrics.
• Proficiency with common network protocols (TCP/IP).
• Troubleshooting networks and computers (LAN/WAN/servers).
• Familiarity with configuring networking and security equipment.
• Willingness to travel for Professional Services requirements.

Responsibilities

• Data Center Infrastructure & Cabling: install, test, and label cross-connects.
• Compute/Network/Storage support: configure OS, remote access, updates, and documentation.
• Asset Management: log and track incoming devices, inventory control, spare parts planning.
• Other: train and mentor staff, ensure customer satisfaction, participate in service transitions, document records, support SLA-driven requests.
