Job summary

Trace3, headquartered in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Data Center Technician to physically support and provide remote-hand services to customers. This is a 100% onsite role located in Irvine, CA, with responsibilities across data center infrastructure, compute/network/storage support, asset management, and operations.

You will install cabling, configure devices for remote access, and maintain documentation while ensuring high customer satisfaction and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a technical or data center support role.
• Independently research Internet technologies (firewall/router/switch/VPN/DNS/Proxy).
• Good understanding of the OSI model.
• Good written and spoken English; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day data center operations and projects.
• Install and manage structured cabling infrastructure.
• Elicit infrastructure requirements from clients.
• Install, terminate, test, and label cross connects.
• Troubleshoot cabling system issues and physical faults.
• Configure OOB management interfaces on devices for remote access.
• Maintain service desk documentation.
• Escort vendors and perform crisis management during outages.
• Communicate with stakeholders per SLAs.
