Job summary

Covestic Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician III (L3) to maintain, troubleshoot, and support critical data center infrastructure.

This senior role serves as an escalation point for complex hardware, network, and infrastructure issues, driving uptime and standards. You will mentor junior staff, lead small to mid-scale projects, and collaborate with engineering, facilities, networking, and program management.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in data center environments.
• Experience with server hardware from major vendors.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, cabling).
• Experience with Linux and Windows server hardware.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and decommission servers and storage.
• Lead break/fix and coordinate with vendors and engineering.
• Perform firmware updates and lifecycle management.
• Mentor junior staff and lead small to medium projects.
• Create and maintain SOPs and knowledge base articles.
• On-call and after-hours support as required.
