Job summary

Fermi America is seeking a Senior Data Center Technical Specialist to act as the technical authority for data center engineering and infrastructure across its hyperscale program. You will own the design standards, drive technical standardization, and ensure field-ready, reliable facility infrastructure.

The role connects Fermi’s standards with consultants, integrators, and partners, reviews design deliverables, and leads technical resolution while preserving design integrity throughout

Qualifications

• 15+ years of data center engineering or critical-infrastructure delivery.
• Experience in hyperscale or mission-critical environments.
• Strong ability to serve as an owner's technical representative.
• Experience with lump-sum turnkey or design-build delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority across all data center MEP disciplines.
• Verify design and construction conformance to owner standards.
• Maintain the data center basis-of-design and technical-standards documentation.
• Interface with tenant technical representatives to resolve design and engineering challenges.
• Own vendor qualification, equipment specifications, and commissioning oversight.
• Lead technical reviews, factory witnessing, and commissioning activities.
