Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Staff Data Center Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical contact for planning, deploying, and validating large-scale GPU clusters at customer sites, in Supermicro facilities, and in partner colocation environments. This role begins as an individual contributor with a clear path to leading a small team as the group scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 12+ years datacenter experience.
• Strong understanding of AI/NeoCloud infrastructure and GPUaaS platforms.
• Ability to guide internal tooling without writing production code.
• Hands-on experience deploying GPU compute clusters (NVIDIA/CUDA preferred).
• Familiarity with datacenter monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive DataCenter planning, deployment, and validation of GPU clusters.
• Advise on cooling and power products (DLC, CDU, Sidecars, chillers).
• Integrate BMS and infrastructure monitoring across power, cooling, and environmental systems.
• Apply knowledge of NeoCloud and GPUaaS to guide deployments and automate diagnostics.
• Lead cross-team technical efforts during critical deployment windows.
• Deliver customer-facing planning, deployment, and validation, managing expectations.
• Coordinate with partner datacenters on readiness.
• Develop runbooks and playbooks for repeatable deployments.
