Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Server Operations Manager to lead a dedicated team of Data Center Technicians responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and deploying the infrastructure powering Google's search technology and global product portfolio.

You will oversee server hardware installation, networking equipment, and Linux/Unix systems, coordinate complex installations, and drive 24/7 operations while mentoring junior engineers to ensure high availability and security across global data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and service delivery.
• 8 years of experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure, and network and compute architecture and life‑cycle, and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift‑based schedules as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage round-the-clock operations across all shifts (days, nights, weekends) within the metro area.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, talent development, and vendor management for technical teams.
• Lead the deployment, maintenance, and support of systems and network architectures.
• Leverage Linux/Unix, network protocol, and hardware life-cycle expertise to resolve complex strategic challenges.
• Execute global strategic projects aligned with company goals while driving strict Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.
