Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Products and Services to lead the design, architecture, and continuous improvement of data center infrastructure.

You will tackle complex problems, mentor engineers, and influence facility strategy at scale. You'll collaborate with product design teams to optimize assembly methods, drive readiness, and ensure safety, quality, and throughput while reducing non-value-added steps.

Competenze

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Mansioni

• Partner with product design teams to incorporate DFM/DFA considerations and iterate rapidly.
• Develop and prove out assembly methods for complex electromechanical products.
• Drive manufacturing line concept, design, requirements, and equipment specification.
• Define line requirements including layout, cycle times, and headcount.
• Engage with OEMs, tooling suppliers, automation integrators, and production partners.
• Drive project scope from concept through production launch.
• Drive production readiness and operational performance (safety, quality, throughput, scrap reduction).
• Identify opportunities to densify and reduce non-value-add operations.
• Develop and standardize assembly processes, control plans, and maintenance strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote safety and operational discipline.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the year.
