Job summary
Taleo is seeking a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer to lead the build-out and ongoing operation of a high-performance, enterprise-scale data center in Minnesota.
You will combine hands-on server hardware troubleshooting, Linux systems work, and data center operations to support initial deployment, validation, and hardware readiness, then drive reliability, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement in steady-state operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in data center operations or similar infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on experience with server hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Minimum 2 years Linux in production environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise server platforms and infrastructure.
- Experience with root cause analysis of complex hardware issues.
- Experience with ticketing systems and operational workflows.
- Experience with data center build-outs or upgrades (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Advanced hardware troubleshooting and repair across server platforms.
- Support Linux systems provisioning, deployment, and diagnostics.
- Document repairs, changes, and configurations in ITSM/DCIM systems.
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 operations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to technicians on hardware best practices.
