Job summary

Cache Valley Electric seeks a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead mission critical data center electrical construction in Lubbock, TX. You will drive full lifecycle delivery, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and coordinate with owners, GC, engineers, and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years (PM) or 8–12 for Senior PM, with data center experience, strong leadership, and readiness to relocate to Lubbock for the assignment. Great benefits and long-term growth at CVE.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical project management with 3 years in data center, mission critical, or large-scale MEP construction
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; OR journeyman electrician with PM experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple project phases, stakeholders, and field personnel across various locations
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, prefabrication strategies, and emerging construction technologies
• Demonstrated experience forecasting cost and labor and controlling overall project financials
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead teams and build client trust
• Ability to relocate to Lubbock, TX for the duration of the assignment

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle on complex data center electrical construction jobs, from planning through closeout
• Define project objectives, scopes, budgets, and schedules in coordination with internal teams and client partners
• Develop and implement project execution plans aligned with CVE standards and client requirements
• Track and manage labor productivity reports
• Monitor construction activities and field operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality performance, and adherence to safety protocols
• Interface directly with owners, general contractors, engineering partners, and subcontractors
• Lead the project team, including engineers, procurement, VDC/BIM, and field supervisors to ensure alignment
• Champion jobsite safety by promoting CVE's safety culture and OSHA/NEC/NFPA compliance
• Prepare and manage project documentation (submittals, RFIs, minutes, closeout packages, quality logs)
• Oversee financial management (forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, equipment rentals)
• Lead change order negotiations
• Negotiate vendor/subcontractor agreements
• Maintain accurate reporting and forecasting on status, resources, and schedule health
• Oversee, train and mentor assistant project managers and project managers
• Serve as liaison with client leadership and general contractor on strategic decisions
• Lead risk mitigation and complex problem-solving
