Job summary

TMC USA Employeneurship is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for mission-critical data center projects in Texas. You will oversee power distribution, UPS, generators, and switchgear, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with NEC/IEEE standards.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical engineering, with 5+ years in data center design, PE license preferred, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SCADA/BMS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years in data center design.
• Experience with high-availability systems (UPS, generators, power distribution).
• Familiarity with NEC/IEEE codes and standards.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical system designs for data centers, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards.
• Serve as the technical lead for electrical engineering aspects of data center projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, controls) to ensure seamless integration.
• Reliability & Redundancy: Implement Tier-level design principles (Tier III/Tier IV) for redundancy and uptime.
• Evaluate and optimize electrical infrastructure for scalability and energy efficiency.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve field issues promptly.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and electrical standards throughout project lifecycle.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory approvals and inspections.

• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and arc-flash studies.
• Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, and monitoring systems for data centers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical modeling software.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• PE License (Professional Engineer).
