Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking an experienced Power Systems Applications Engineer to support design, application, and integration of electrical power distribution solutions for data centers. You will work with customers, consultants, contractors, sales, and internal engineering teams from initial requirements through startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of applications, field, and/or design engineering experience involving data center electrical infrastructure.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and specifications.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into engineered solutions for data center electrical systems.
• Prepare submittal packages, proposals, technical documentation, drawings, and compliance materials.
• Coordinate order entry and support projects through production, installation, and field startup.
• Advise customers and consultants on power distribution and STS applications and best practices.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during equipment installation, commissioning, and operation.
• Provide technical training and presentations to customers, consultants, and channel partners.
• Support product testing, application notes, and competitive analysis for data center solutions.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate findings to product development and R&D teams.
• Travel to customer sites, job sites, and data center facilities approximately 25-35%.
