Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to architect and build data-center power-management software. You will craft real-time controllers and policies to optimize performance, power, thermals, and energy efficiency in demanding datacenter workloads.

You will lead features across the full product lifecycle and collaborate with GPU architects and hardware designers to define interfaces for next-generation processors. Competitive salary includes equity.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of system software, embedded firmware, or hardware-related production software.
• Strong C programming, low-level software development and debugging.
• Deep OS fundamentals, device-driver architecture, embedded/RTOS knowledge.
• Experience with hardware interfaces for registers, telemetry, interrupts.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and hw-sw interaction.
• Proven ability to debug complex issues across software and hardware layers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and debug data-center power and performance-management software.
• Develop real-time controllers to optimize performance, power, and energy efficiency.
• Lead features across the full product lifecycle from requirements to production support.
• Collaborate with GPU architects and hardware designers on interfaces.
• Analyze interactions among workloads, clocks, voltages, and thermal limits.
• Investigate and resolve power, performance, stability, and reliability issues.
• Develop validation strategies and automation for robustness across conditions.
• Create architecture and interface specifications for new features.
• Partner with distributed teams across geographies.
