Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Distributed IT division in Woodridge, IL seeks a Senior Manager, Data Center Business Operations. Hybrid role (3x2) with up to 50% travel and relocation assistance available within the US. Salary range $146,000–$215,000 and eligible for a bonus program.

The role leads capital projects, drives program health, and collaborates with local operations to ensure project success. Requires extensive program management and manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in program management or a mix of program management with operations, OpEx, manufacturing engineering or facilities.
• Minimum of ten years of work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective communications with internal and external stakeholders and deliver tough messages with a go-forward plan.
• Manage and maintain program/project metrics throughout projects.
• Develop and maintain resource plans to meet project schedule.
• Leverage global resources to develop optimal project business cases.
• Lead large, complex projects using Eaton's PROLaunch processes.
• Mentor and train key individuals in the organization.
• Evaluate alternate manufacturing processes focusing on cost reduction and supply chain resiliency.
• Assemble and lead a cross-functional team with engagement from all required functions.
• Drive accountability from action owners.
• Develop equipment specifications and evaluate suppliers/contractors as part of selection.
• Manage contractor/supplier work on-site and ensure safety compliance.
• Track capital and expense spending, provide monthly forecasts and hit targets.
• Develop project scenarios for footprint expansion and facility consolidations.
• Share best practices and lessons learned from implementations.
