Job summary

EOS IT Solutions, a Global Technology and Logistics company, is seeking a Senior Data Center NetOps Technician to join our infrastructure engineering team. This role focuses on the physical repair and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and related components, with local travel to multiple sites.

You will perform hands-on repairs, manage hardware lifecycle, conduct inspections, and oversee spare-parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in electronics, computer hardware, or related field.
• Proven track record of repairing and maintaining IT and network hardware in data center environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Arista hardware and x86 servers.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities in fast-paced settings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repairs and replacement of defective hardware components in data center equipment.
• Manage the lifecycle of hardware from installation to decommissioning and recycling.
• Conduct physical inspections and routine maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Oversee inventory management of spare parts and components for repairs and upgrades.
• Coordinate replacement activities with technical teams to minimize downtime.
• Document repair activities and update system configurations as necessary.
• Execute basic physical layer troubleshooting and cabling tests.
• Support new hardware installations and the physical setup of network/server infrastructure.
• Participate in emergency response teams to address urgent hardware issues.
