Job summary

Suffolk Construction seeks an experienced Senior MEP Superintendent to lead project-level field operations for MEP/FP on data center projects. You will plan, coordinate, and drive MEP construction from installation through startup and turnover, owning trade-partner performance, sequencing, and safety.

You will direct field execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls, supervise engineers, and ensure compliance with contract documents and codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of MEP construction experience with field supervision on complex projects.
• Experience with MEP/BIM coordination, drawings, specs, and sequences of operation.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IMC/IPC, ASHRAE codes and inspection/testing requirements.
• Understanding of commissioning lifecycle and turnover on complex MEP systems.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day field activities of MEP trade partners across the assigned scope.
• Lead field MEP/BIM coordination and resolve conflicts, RFIs, and field changes.
• Own MEP construction sequencing and short-interval planning.
• Ensure layout and rough-in align with contract documents and model; resolve exceptions.
• Drive field completion, testing, and prerequisites for commissioning progression.
• Establish Operations readiness for assigned systems and support turnover.
