Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer (3PDC) to support third-party data center projects for clients in the US. You’ll work with Senior Engineers on technical due diligence and develop RAM analyses to optimize reliability and efficiency. Travel about 25% is expected.

You will review design documents, coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, and compile documentation for presentations and contracts, while ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 8-10 years of solid experience.
• Solid understanding of large-scale, complex data center infrastructure.
• Understanding of financial analysis, project management, construction, business operations.
• Experience with cross-disciplinary teams (structural, civil, IT/Telecom, security, mechanical, electrical, architectural).
• Experience with data center projects inside and outside of the US.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or equivalent. Licensed PE desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and assist in evaluating third-party data center sites for technical compliance.
• Identify collaborators and plan objectives, estimate task durations, align schedules.
• Develop RAM analysis to optimize data center performance and efficiency.
• Review detailed design documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Interact with clients to prepare project elements.
• Support senior engineers with documentation for presentations and contracts.
• Assist operations with day-to-day documentation questions and program standards.
• Collaborate to identify optimization opportunities for technical due diligence.
• Coordinate documentation of mechanical design for data center projects.
