Job summary

FWI seeks a Data Center Lead to manage and secure the DLIFLC Academic Network, ensuring 24/7 datacenter availability and ongoing accreditation. You will bridge server operations, storage, identity management, and business continuity, directing DR planning and hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.

The role requires DoD-level security clearance, 5+ years in data center operations or 9+ years progressive experience, and leadership capability.

Qualifications

BA/BS from accredited college/university with minimum 5 years experience OR 9+ years of progressive data center administration experience.
Requires one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.
Experience leading a team and maintaining a high-availability datacenter.
Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google) and VMware vSphere.

Responsibilities

Lead Data Center Operations including servers, SAN, backup systems, and identity management.
Ensure datacenter operates 24×7 with DoD-directed updates and security patches.
Perform disaster recovery planning and business continuity testing and execution.
Maintain datacenter availability and high accessibility.
Provide on-call/after-hours support to restore functionality during outages.
Oversee VMware vSphere platform and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
May travel (CONUS/OCONUS).
