Job summary

Jacobs, a leader in advanced manufacturing and data center solutions, seeks a Senior HVAC Engineer to drive design for data center clients. You will lead the Building Mechanical team, perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages.

You’ll contribute to developing design criteria, calculations, and P&IDs, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems for data centers and other facilities.
• Develop design criteria and documentation including P&IDs and calculations.
• Size and select equipment and prepare construction design packages.
• Mentor less experienced staff and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure schedule and technical quality align with client expectations.
