Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer focused on the data center market. You will design and size HVAC systems, prepare design criteria and calculations, and develop construction documentation while coordinating with multi‑discipline teams.

You’ll work in a hybrid environment across U.S. offices, collaborating with clients and vendors to deliver optimized, cost‑effective solutions and meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years’ experience designing HVAC systems.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to fast-paced team environments with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team remotely with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and related facilities.
• Develop design criteria, calculations, and P&IDs for HVAC systems.
• Prepare final design documents, specifications, and sequences of operation.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Support project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
