Jacobs in the United States seeks a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to deliver innovative HVAC design for data centers within the Advanced Manufacturing Group. You will perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size equipment, and prepare construction design packages.

You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality as you develop process designs, calculations, P&IDs, and final construction drawings, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to meet client

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in HVAC design
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and standards
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Adaptability to fast-paced team with deadlines
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team remotely and collaborate with other disciplines

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and other facilities.
• Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including temperature/humidity control and clean room requirements.
• Create conceptual and preliminary designs with sizing calculations and P&IDs.
• Layout of ductwork based on P&ID and project requirements.
• Prepare final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, piping layouts, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on projects.
