Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a licensed electrician to ensure reliable electrical systems across our data center facilities. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical UPS, generators, switchgear, and related equipment, adhering to NEC and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities include safe lockout/tagout, troubleshooting, on-call coverage, coordination with facilities engineering and network teams, and maintaining accurate records in enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Licensed electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in commercial/industrial electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety programs and NFPA standards.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical electrical systems supporting data center operations.
• Execute safe electrical switching, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and energized work procedures per NFPA 70E and local codes.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime and prevent service interruptions.
• Support 24x7 electrical coverage for the data center, including after-hours on-call responses.
• Coordinate with data center operations, facilities engineering, HVAC, and network teams for uptime objectives.
