Job summary

Core Scientific seeks a skilled Mechanical Journeyman to work independently across HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems in our data center environments. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair gasoline, diesel, battery, and electric equipment on site.

The role requires apprenticeship training, 7+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll perform maintenance tasks, coordinate materials, and support project activities in a fast-paced facility setting.

Qualifications

• Formal vocational school training in the fundamentals of the trade is required.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in the trade.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness and ability to follow guidance from staff and management.
• Basic understanding of email and MS Office software.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Prior military or technical school training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Break-fix of electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, appliances, rollup doors, etc.).
• Conduct spill and leak detection inspections and repairs.
• Hydronic rack cooling maintenance and commissioning.
• PMs on HVAC and Hydronic systems (Pumps, Strainers, Cooling Towers).
• Team scheduling and material requisition.
• Provide mechanical project support.
• Clean In Place on heat exchangers and chiller tube inspections.
