Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced electrical engineering leader to drive design and technical direction for data center projects. You will guide complex systems, ensure robust operation, and collaborate with internal teams and colocation partners.

You will mentor staff, develop standards, review contracts, and push for safe, compliant solutions. The role demands strong writing, leadership, and risk-based thinking to deliver high-performance facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in electrical engineering design, construction, commissioning, or owner-side technical leadership for mission critical facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of data center electrical systems including but not limited to power generation, storage and delivery, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm.
• Experience developing technical standards, basis of design documents, owner’s requirements, specifications, whitepapers, or design guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, commissioning documentation, and equipment submittals.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholder groups.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical issues, make risk-based recommendations, and drive alignment across internal and external teams.
• Experience with high-density compute environments and liquid cooling technologies preferred.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages electrical engineering design and technical direction for assigned data center projects.
• Provides guidance and engineering leadership in ensuring project designs meet company expectations.
• Contributes to identifying and developing training and mentoring programs for newer members of the team as it grows.
• Provides expert input for effective contract administration including generation and review of contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documentation.
• Contributes to creating and maintaining best in class policies and procedures.
• Consistently solves complex, cross-functional issues requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve.
• Has an expert level system knowledge and leads seminars/conferences.
