Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced electrical equipment engineer to lead development, qualification, and lifecycle management for data center gear. You will define requirements, collaborate with manufacturers, and drive improvements based on field data and new tech.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, CAPA with suppliers, and establishing standards and testing guidelines to ensure reliability, safety, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years' experience in electrical equipment engineering or related areas.
• Experience with product development, qualification, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, or reliability.
• Strong knowledge of mission-critical electrical equipment and related standards.
• Ability to review drawings, docs, test reports, and submittals.
• Experience with FAT/SAT, equipment qualification, and lifecycle management.
• PE license or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development, evaluation, qualification, and lifecycle management of mission-critical electrical equipment for Oracle data centers.
• Develop equipment requirements, specifications, validation plans, and acceptance criteria for performance, reliability, safety, and operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and engineering partners during design, prototyping, testing, and qualification.
• Drive design improvements and product enhancements from field data and emerging technologies.
• Lead root cause investigations and develop CAPA with suppliers and internal teams.
• Define qualification processes including FAT, SAT, reliability, and environmental testing.
• Establish reliability metrics, failure trends, and analytics to support continuous improvement.
• Partner with Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing to improve product consistency and performance.
• Serve as Oracle's technical interface with suppliers and lead supplier audits and assessments.
• Develop and maintain electrical equipment standards, specs, and testing guidelines.
