Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer for its AWS Data Center Design Engineering team. You will design resilient electrical distribution systems and produce construction document sets for global data center deployments.

Qualifications

4+ years in engineering for mission-critical facilities, incl. data centers, power gen, or oil and gas.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center facilities.
Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings.

Responsibilities

Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
Designs meeting quality and budget requirements.
Comply with federal, state and municipal building codes.
Review and approve equipment submittals.
Define project scope and provide technical support during construction.
Work with commissioning teams to test and validate installations.
Handle concurrent projects across multiple regions.
Travel to sites for reviews and collaborate with field engineers; provide audits and startup support.
Provide creative, out-of-the-box solutions.
