Job summary

Iron Mountain’s North America Data Center Design team seeks a Senior Design Manager – Federal and Special Projects to lead high-profile data center programs. You will own end-to-end design delivery, mentor teams, and ensure cross-disciplinary coordination across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and security systems.

You will manage risk and budgets, collaborate with internal divisions, and travel up to 25% as needed. U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of experience with complex data center or mission-critical capital projects.
• U.S. Citizenship is required. DoD Security Clearance and ICD 705 experience is preferred.
• Deep multidisciplinary understanding of critical-facility systems, codes/standards, permitting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the full design delivery strategy from early site preparation through commissioning and handover.
• Direct multidisciplinary consultants across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, security, and operations interfaces.
• Lead risk, budgets, schedules, value engineering, and change controls; provide design reporting.
• Mentor Design Managers to elevate regional design practices and coordinate with internal divisions.
