Job summary

JLL in Colorado City, TX is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer to deliver best practice systems for data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, cooling, and water systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor operations, manage CMMS work orders, and analyze equipment performance to prevent outages while following safety and escalation procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a data center.
• Experience with HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH, plumbing, controls, and electrical backup systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance for all building systems to ensure 100% uptime.
• Operate and adjust mechanical and electrical equipment including HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and transformers.
• Record readings, analyze operations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage work orders via CMMS, coordinate with vendors, and address customer-facing tickets.
• Comply with safety policies and emergency escalation procedures.
• Support site knowledge and incident management to protect critical systems.
