Job summary

Salute seeks a Sr. Critical Facility Engineer in Gainesville, VA, to lead the data center infrastructure team and ensure 24/7 uptime. The role combines hands-on engineering with procedural rigor, including a rigorous 8-month certification and ongoing professional development.

You will supervise CFEs, coordinate field activities, and drive continuous improvement across operations, with a strong emphasis on reliability and teamwork in a hyperscale environment.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Journeyman or Master license in HVAC or electrical trade; or
• 2 years of experience in mission-critical engineering operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead CFEs and train personnel.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and control system maintenance.
• Operate and monitor 24/7/365 Facility Operations Center (FOC).
• Coordinate dispatch and field support for alerts.
• Ensure adherence to SOP/MOP/EOP.
• Participate in RCA processes and continuous improvement.

Education
