Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESFM division seeks a Chief Building Engineer for liquid cooling in a high-density compute environment. You will lead on-site IFM hard services, manage a team of engineers and technicians, and own liquid cooling systems including CDUs, pumps, heat exchangers, and integrated controls.

This 3rd shift role runs Mon-Fri 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM local time, emphasizing uptime, preventive maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with clients and vendors to

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in facility engineering or mission-critical environments.
• EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams or site operations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and liquid cooling systems.
• Experience in data center or high-reliability environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead IFM hard services delivery across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Direct and develop a team of building engineers, technicians, and contractors; establish roles and coverage.
• Serve as site technical authority for liquid cooling systems (CDUs, pumps, heat exchangers, piping, controls).
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and optimization of liquid cooling systems with monitoring of temp, pressure, flow.
• Drive incident response, root-cause analysis, and preventive maintenance to ensure 24/7 reliability.
