Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Data Center Controls Engineer to define and implement controls, monitoring, and integration for next‑gen modular data centers. You will shape the controls basis of design, templates, and interface with vendors to ensure reliable operation across power, cooling, and infrastructure systems.

The role requires expertise in BMS/EPMS, DDC, PLC, and SCADA, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Controls Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in controls engineering, automation, or system integration for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with BMS/EPMS, DDC, PLC, SCADA, and industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of BOD, SOO, alarm matrices, sensor and monitoring requirements for data center deployments.
• Create and maintain standard controls templates, points lists, and integration checklists for repeatable deployments.
• Coordinate interfaces with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless system integration and commissioning.
• Support commissioning planning with test sequences, alarms, trend logs, and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across electrical/mechanical/product teams.
