Job summary

Actalent seeks a Construction Project Manager 3 in Phoenix, AZ to lead non-IT construction and engineering projects, particularly for data centers. You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities across engineering, construction, and internal teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget while controlling costs and ensuring safety compliance.

This contract role requires a strong blend of field and office experience, with responsibilities spanning cost management, schedule control, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing manufacture and distribution of goods
• Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction and non-IT technical projects from planning through completion, developing detailed plans and milestones
• Direct and integrate technical activities across engineering, construction, and related disciplines
• Present project proposals and progress reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Recruit, assign, and evaluate project staff and maintain staff competence
• Analyze options, resources, and market demand to plan feasibility and strategies
• Meet with management, production, and marketing to align specifications with business objectives
• Review, approve contracts and cost estimates within budgets
• Manage schedules and identify risks, addressing delays proactively
• Coordinate day-to-day trades and site activities with general contractors
• Review change orders and cost analyses to support informed decisions
• Monitor cost performance and forecast budgets
• Lead internal and external project meetings and ensure action items are completed
• Apply construction knowledge to evaluate design and field issues in data center environments
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations
