Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in Texas to lead the delivery of large-scale data center construction projects across the United States. You will guide project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, owning safety, quality, schedule, and budget while interfacing with owners and consultants.

You will mentor multiple project staff, manage procurement for major equipment, and drive risk mitigation and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of construction experience, including data center or mission-critical projects.
• Proven success leading large-scale data center projects from pre-construction to handover.
• Strong technical understanding of mission-critical infrastructure systems.
• Experience in live/operational mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of Tier I–IV data center standards, commissioning, redundancy concepts, and best practices.
• Experience with Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, CMAR and GMP delivery models.
• Advanced commercial skills: forecasting, cost control, change management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large-scale data center construction projects with accountability for safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as the primary project leader and point of contact for owners, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Direct project teams through all phases: pre-construction, procurement, commissioning, and turnover.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet milestones; identify and mitigate risks.
• Mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs, Project Engineers, and field staff.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, contingency planning, and cost reporting; manage change orders.
