Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Data Center Construction Manager for our Buffalo, NY office. You will oversee all phases of multiple data-center construction projects, from pre-construction through occupancy, coordinating with clients, vendors, and inspectors to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires extensive construction management experience, leadership capabilities, and willingness to relocate. Travel may be up to 90% across the US; sponsorship for US employment is not available.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus ten years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management or related field preferred.
• Fifteen years in Construction is preferred.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages all activities for assigned projects including pre-construction, design, construction phasing, closeout coordination, occupancy and warranty enforcement for multiple projects.
• Coordinates construction activities with the client, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Understands scheduling and critical milestones; has working knowledge of schedules and construction means.
• Plans and organizes reports; reviews documentation from multiple project teams.
• Provides technical direction and guidance; ensures adherence to design, budget, schedule and quality.
• Coordinates with General Contractor to schedule tests and inspections and delivers reports to Owner and Architect.
• Reviews punch lists and verifies completion before substantial completion.
• Monitors progress; processes field documentation and provides coordination with inspectors.
• Coordinates project documentation with Project Controls reviewers.
• Reviews, comments and approves Pay Applications.
• Reviews and documents condition of off-site stored materials and gathers insurances and bills of sale.
