Job summary

Galaxy's Helios campus in Afton, TX seeks a Senior Manager, Data Center Construction to lead on-site delivery of a large-scale data center. You will manage Galaxy teams and key trade partners, driving safety, schedule, cost, and quality from preconstruction through commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years delivering mission-critical facilities, understands GMP, and is proficient with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Delivery of large-scale data center or equivalent infrastructure from start of construction through turnover.
• Experience leading a project or building team through construction.
• Knowledge of GMP delivery models, risk management, and contractor oversight.
• Technical fluency across MEP, commissioning, civil, and structural systems.
• Experience integrating OFCI equipment and supporting commissioning.
• Strong cost control, change management, and schedule analysis.
• Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Own Data Center Facility Delivery: single point of accountability for construction of a large-scale data center facility from GMP handoff through energization and turnover.
• Manage Schedule and Progress: own building schedule, identify critical-path threats, direct recovery plans.
• Manage Project Risk and Contingency: maintain a quantified risk register and drive mitigation before exposure.
• Drive Safety Culture: enforce Galaxy's safety standards at the building level and partner with EHS.
• Oversee Contractors and Trade Partners: manage relationships with GC and key trades, ensure milestone alignment.
• Control Cost and Change: oversee pay apps, change orders, forecasts, and budget tracking.
• Lead Integrated Project Controls and Forecasting: own cost, schedule, and cash flow forecast monthly.
• Administer the Commercial Framework: manage GMP contracts, notices, allowances, and claims.
• Manage OFCI Integration: coordinate with OFCI teams to ensure timely arrival and installation of equipment.
• Drive Utility and Energization Readiness: align power delivery with construction milestones.
• Lead Commissioning and Turnover: work with commissioning manager for testing and turnover.
• Manage Customer Delivery Commitments: ensure ready-for-service dates and handover meet commitments.
• Ensure Quality: enforce QA/QC standards and resolve systemic issues.
• Coordinate Across the Campus: resolve cross-building conflicts with peers and VP.
• Advance Lean and Prefabrication: apply modularization and lean delivery initiatives.
