Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Sr. Commissioning Manager for Data Center Market to lead commissioning across data center projects. You will oversee strategy, schedule, and budgets, and mentor site teams to ensure successful startup and operation of critical systems.

Based in the U.S., the role requires extensive CxAlloy expertise, MS Office proficiency, and coordination across trades. 100% travel is expected as you partner with owners and partners to deliver mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Advanced CxAlloy experience with commissioning and scheduling tools.
• Willingness to travel 100% of the time.
• Minimum 6 years of commissioning and/or project management experience.
• Minimum 2 years leading all commissioning disciplines and defining scope.
• 3+ years setting up CxAlloy databases and creating commissioning plans for multiple projects.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and drive team performance.
• Proven ability to maintain positive relationships with owners and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Site Commissioning team and provide training.
• Define commissioning scope, resources, timelines, and budgets with executives.
• Review subcontractor scopes to ensure adequate commissioning coverage.
• Train site teams in CxAlloy usage and commissioning databases.
• Develop and approve commissioning plans and manage database.
• Perform site audits to verify commissioning performance.
• Generate status reports and address deficiencies with partners.
• Lead on-site commissioning meetings and drive startup activities.
• Maintain control of costs and fees related to commissioning services.
