Job summary

Gray Construction in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Sr. Commissioning Manager for the Data Center Market to lead site commissioning efforts, set scope, timelines and budgets, and mentor a growing team.

This role requires extensive commissioning and project management experience, advanced CxAlloy knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with owners, vendors, and Gray stakeholders while coordinating with site teams and trade partners. Travel is 100% for project assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Advanced experience with CxAlloy as well as scheduling applications is required.
• Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time is required.
• Minimum of six years of commissioning and/or project management experience.
• Minimum of two years experience managing all disciplines for commissioning projects, including development of commissioning scope.
• Must have at least three years experience in setting up CxAlloy Commissioning databases for all disciplines and maintaining written commissioning plans on at least five projects.
• Ability to mentor and/or train other project staff and maintain relationships with owners, co-workers, vendors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Site Commissioning team and provide training for team member career development.
• Meet with Project executives, directors, and managers to establish commissioning scope, resources, timelines, and budgets.
• Review Subcontractor Exhibit A scope of work to ensure commissioning scope is included and adequate.
• Train Site teams in the use of CxAlloy Commissioning database.
• Assist in reviewing and approving commissioning plans.
• Manage Commissioning database and related data for assigned projects.
