Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Senior Data Center & Cloud Networking Engineer to join our hybrid team in New York. You will design, implement, and operate scalable, secure networks spanning on‑prem, colocation, and public clouds with emphasis on Nexus NX‑OS, VXLAN/EVPN, and hybrid connectivity.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in enterprise networking, deep data center and cloud networking expertise, and hands-on experience with ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, FastConnect, and Equinix

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years minimum experience in enterprise networking; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of next-generation data center networks based on Cisco Nexus (NX-OS), VXLAN/EVPN fabrics, and spine-leaf designs.
• Design and implement hybrid cloud connectivity solutions (Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, OCI FastConnect, Equinix Fabric).
• Own and optimize Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols (BGP underlay/overlay, multicast, advanced routing).
• Serve as SME for Nexus platforms (Nexus 9K, Fabric Extenders, data center switching).
• Architect secure, resilient connectivity between on-prem, colocation, and public cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain network design docs, diagrams, and runbooks.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex, multi-domain network issues including hybrid cloud fabrics.
• Drive network automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
