Job summary
VY Systems in New York City is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to own enterprise network architecture, routing, switching, firewall management, and cloud interconnects on a contract C2C basis. You will design, deploy, and secure LAN/WAN, data center fabrics, and SD-WAN across multi-site environments.
The role requires 7–10+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, BGP/OSPF, VPNs, and cloud networking (AWS/Azure).
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching (Cisco/Juniper).
- Experience with BGP/OSPF and WAN optimization.
- Firewall administration, VPN config, and security posture management.
- Cloud networking experience (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute).
- Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Local candidate in NYC, C2C visa eligibility, hybrid work.
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN and data center fabrics.
- Design and optimize routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/MP-BGP/MPLS).
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and security appliances.
- Monitor network performance, latency, and utilization.
- Implement SDN/SD-WAN across multi-site branches.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and RCA for outages.
- Document network architecture, IPAM, and runbooks.
- Collaborate with security, DevOps, and cloud teams.
