Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to lead end-to-end maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across data centers. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• 3+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for facilities-related issues.
• Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on critical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, etc.).
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshooting within SLAs.
• Provide training to Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with the Facility Manager to set team culture.
• Create and deploy standard practices for technicians and vendor support teams.
• Assist in building out new facilities and projects to improve efficiency.
• Work outside of normal hours for maintenance and respond to emergencies.
