Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to act as a design authority for an electrical discipline. You will lead commissioning of data centers and automation systems, support field engineers, configure and test PLC/HMI and relays, and run SAT/FAT with customers.

The role requires 7–10+ years in field service for datacenter power systems, familiarity with UL standards, and up to 50% travel domestically and internationally. This is a remote position within ABB's Electrification division.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, or related field.
7–10+ years of field service engineering experience in data centers and power systems.
Strong knowledge of power distribution, protection and control.
Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting PLC/HMI, Relays, and control systems.
Familiarity with UL1558 and UL508A standards and power testing practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Lead and support commissioning of data centers, PSGs, and power automation systems.
Support field service engineers during project commissioning.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI, Relays and other control systems.
Conduct SAT, FWT, and FAT tests with customers to ensure specs.
